Dealing with Holiday Saboteurs during Wellness Detoxing

There are two types of saboteurs you will deal with during the holidays - intentional and unintentional .   Coping with the saboteurs during the holidays requires patience and the following: Prepare a list of answers for phrases that you've heard in the past from friends and family. The phrases may be part of the holidays for your friend's and family. Make sure your responses do not encourage historical dialogues. Don't stress.  If you know you will be meeting with a saboteur, burn enough calories to cover a holiday drink, a holiday dessert or a holiday food gift from that person so that the encounter does not include your holiday detox in the conversation. If you are unable to handle the extra calories or talking about your detox, delay the invitation or meeting until after the holidays.  Don't make yourself the topic during the meeting with a saboteur.  Make sure you have enough questions to keep them the topic.
